How to stream this year’s Celebration of Achievement to your television

As you know, this year’s CofA will look a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve combined our usual three events (Academic and Cultural, Extra-Curricular, and Junior School) into a single event which will be broadcast online via YouTube. It’s going to be unlike any CofA you’ve ever experienced and we have had a great time filming some of the award presentations.

Here are a few different ways that you can watch this year’s Celebration of Achievement.

  1. On a smartphone or tablet.
  2. On a computer or laptop.
  3. On your television.

Let’s dive into how to set this up if you have never watched like this before.

1. On a smartphone or tablet.

You can watch directly from your smartphone or tablet by downloading the YouTube app.

  1. Download the YouTube app on your smart phone by visiting either the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
  2. Open the app and search for our Channel called STPAULSat4036.
  3. Click on the CofA video to start watching.

2. On a computer or laptop.

You can watch directly from your computer or laptop by visiting YouTube in a web browser.

  1. Open your preferred web browser (e.g. Google Chrome) and search for YouTube.
  2. Open YouTube and search for our Channel called STPAULSat4036.
  3. Click on the CofA video to start watching.

3. On your television.

There are a number of ways that you can cast or stream the CofA to your television, however, you will need a Smart Tv, Google Chromecast or Apple Tv in order to do this.

  1. Ensure that your smart phone and television are connected on the same wifi network.
  2. Open the YouTube app on your smart phone.
  3. Tap Cast Inactive cast extension or Stream . This is found at the top of the app Home screen.
  4. Choose the device you want to cast to.
  5. Choose the CofA Broadcast video.
  6. Tap Play to start watching.
