DIY energy

Posted on October 19, 2016

Our Year 11 Science 21 students are currently investigating methods of renewable energy in their unit, Energy for tomorrow.

Students stepped outside of the classroom today to conduct an experiment using solar energy, to separate hydrogen gas from water. The sun and (to an extent) water are in an unlimited supply; certainly by comparison to finite resources like coal or oil.

Students recorded their results and will analyse these next lesson. They used an array of variables, thus have encountered differing outcomes.

Your child may just hold the key to tomorrow’s renewable energy breakthrough!
