Coding in Prep
Our Prep students are coding!
Students have been using Beebots as they begin to learn the basics of coding and programming. In the activity pictured, students created a maze for their Beebot to navigate. Next, they programmed their algorithm into the Beebot. Some of them planned their code first by using their hand to help visualise the necessary movement before inputting into the machine.
“It was great to see them plan first then code their algorithm into the Beebot. What was fantastic to observe was when their algorithm had an error, they went back and tried again. It showed great thinking and persistence” commented classroom teacher, Mr Steve Wilkins.
