Bella glistens on world stage

Posted on February 13, 2018

At 17 years old, Isabella Zanatta (Year 12, Mitre) has her sights firmly set on the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

You may remember last year, Bella travelled to New York, USA to represent Australia and compete in her first international synchronised swimming event.

This year Bella will again represent Australia after qualifying at the National Trials held on the Gold Coast in January.

The first overseas competition is in Los Angeles, USA and it is part of the FINA World Series for Synchronised Swimming. The second overseas competition is in Budapest, Hungary for the FINA World Junior Championships.

Only two years ago, the then 15-year old dove into the world of artistic swimming. Now, Bella trains over 20 hours per week, in addition to her Year 12 studies.

This is an outstanding achievement and we are very proud of the hard work and commitment she has shown to both her sport and studies.
