St Paul’s School Library

The St Paul’s School Library is a hub of learning and creativity. Through our physical and digital spaces, classes and collections we empower students, staff and the wider St Paul’s community to engage with their learning with confidence, creativity and a strong sense of wellbeing.

The Library spaces, open to staff, students and parents, provide flexible learning areas for classes, students on study periods and extra-curricular events. The Library has a large range of books, magazines, robots, readers, class sets, big books, teacher resources, ebooks, audiobooks and more for students, staff and parents to borrow.

The Library’s online platform is accessible 24/7 from School and anywhere off-campus. The platform enables students to access the catalogue of physical resources, ebooks, and audiobooks. It also provides access to a range of specially created pages on research and subject content to make studying easier for students, as well as information on research skills, website evaluation, digital literacy, and cyber safety.

Junior Library

All Prep to Year 6 classes have weekly timetabled Library lessons with the Junior School Teacher Librarian. During the lesson, students browse and borrow from the collection and are taught about how to best engage with a range of literary texts and formats, coding and robotics, and digital citizenship and online safety.

The Junior Library is open for lunch and before and after school for students and parents to browse, borrow and read. The Junior Library runs lunchtime activities each day, including craft, robotics, Lego, origami with students from the International School, Minecraft, guest readers, quizzes, treasure hunts and more.

Throughout the year, the Junior Library hosts special events, including author visits, Book Week, and Queensland School Library Week.
