Hear Me, See Me

Posted on August 31, 2017

Earlier this term eight pieces of work by our talented Year 1 students were submitted for an exhibition organised by the Queensland Family and Child Commission. The exhibition entitled Hear Me See Me was open to any Queenslander aged 5-18 years.  Students were asked to consider what safety, love, joy, hope, trust and family looked like to them.  Our students submitted collages of themselves and a special family member inspired by the artwork of Charlie and Lola author/illustrator Lauren Child.

We recently received word that all eight pieces of work were selected for the exhibition.  The students and their families have been invited to the opening of this very special event being held at QUT Gardens Point this Friday afternoon.  It is a great honour to have not just one but all eight pieces of work selected and the opening promises to be an exciting event for these young artists and their families.

The students whose work was selected were:  Jack Parker, Charlotte Thompson, Ava Rushby, Sienna McCloy, Meaghan Fraser, Morris Grant, Khushi Aolukh and Abraham Ludjio.
