Book Week 2017 – ‘Escape to Everywhere’

Posted on August 15, 2017

The annual St Paul’s Book Week Parade will take place on Monday 21 August during Period 1. Students from across the whole School are invited to dress up in relation to this year’s theme: “Escape to Everywhere”. This could mean that a costume may be of a character from a book who appealed to the students, or a character from a book which has allowed the student to escape for a while from the real world! It is a very general theme, so put those thinking caps on!

We would encourage all students in Junior School, Middle School and Senior School to participate and to join in the spirit of the celebration of reading. This year, prizes will be awarded a little differently: to the winning class in Junior School and to the winning House in Middle and Senior School. As has happened in previous years, we ask students to donate a gold coin, which will go to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, a charity which promotes the improvement of literacy levels in Indigenous communities.

Can’t wait to see all the costumes!
